WKWA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING held at Allen Dossey's.

In attendance were Pres. Allen Dossey, Dr. Brad Rankin, Tres. Bob Long, VP Steve Glisson and Sec. Bob Hoppmann.

-Financial Report-- President Dossey reported that WKWA made a profit from our summer picnic of $146.00.

-Old Business--VP Glisson stated that a Paducah Garden Club visited his vineyard for a tour last month and the ladies showed a lot of interest in his endeavor and the WKWA.

-The Wine Pro will be meeting at Bob Long's Coyote Valley in Ballard County for an upcoming group tasting.

-Dr. Rankin still has some shirts for sale--see Brad.

-Next 2 meetings:
           October 5th at 7:00pm at  The Pasta House Co. The speaker will be Tom Cottrell who is the UK Extension Enologist for Ky. He will speak on wine making and lab testing.

            November 2nd at 7:00pm at The Pasta House Co. Mike Stone to be the guest speaker (wine enthusiast).

-New Business-- Plans for 2007 are tentatively scheduled
    - Jan 4th - Blind tasting (Steve Glisson presenting)
    -  Feb --- Trip to Missouri at Tan-Tar-A for regional wine associations  (Bob Long to plan)
    -  Mar 1st- presentation by Dr. Joe Masabni on chemicals, herbicides, fungus, and pest
    -  April - Saturday date TBD -- planned vineyard pruning, volunteer at a member's vineyard
    -  May- Missouri Vineyard Tour - Crown Valley and Ste Genevieve area (bob Hoppmann to plan)
    -  June - 4 course dinner and wine meeting. A Classic and traditional affair
    -  July - Annual picnic at Steve Glisson's vineyard in Lone Oak

- Discussion of :
     - Equipment sharing
     - Ky State laws and problems
     - Future co-op possibilities of Western Ky local vineyards

Fellowship was had by all with several "interesting" wines.
